Snarky Art....the Studio
It is official. I will open a working studio on the first floor of 2nd April Galerie next month (June for construction / July for production). My acrylic paintings will be done at that location while pastels and other projects will continue to be housed at the home base studio.
2 New Paintings now in the galleries
My first two official works of 2010 are now in the Ladies of Leisure Gallery. Statements are pending.
Maybe???
It is looking pretty good that I will be doing a pastel drawing workshop on Saturday, June 19th from 9 - 2 (or something like that....) at the North Canton Library classroom building. Details are pending (like time and place) but stay tuned if interested. The event is being arranged by the Canton Artists League. And finally.......after 20 years, maybe it is time to come off of maternity leave. (I promised a rumor on my other site if you came here from there.)
Drawing Days
I will be joining some fellow CAL members at the North Canton Little Art Gallery on May 12th (5 - 7pm) for a life drawing demo (figure will be wearing clothes however....). On Friday May 21st, I will again be at 2nd April Gallerie doing pastel drawings of willing victims.
Work accepted into shows...
A collage from the "Beautiful People" series was juried into the FRESH show at Summit Arts Space in Akron. The show opens April 30th. The acrylic "Insider Trading is a Trade Secret" was juried into the May Show at the Little Art Gallery and opens May 1st. A pastel, "Tara", will be on display at Malone College beginning May 13th.
New Work!!
Coming soon....probably by the end of the April, the first two "women's series" paintings of 2010 will be added to my galleries. "Always Wanted to be a Tramp" and "T with the Queen" will be posted in Ladies of Leisure. Check back for updates.
